Founded in 2020 out of Silver Spring, Drone by Dro LLC is staffed by a dedicated team of D.R.O. (Dynamic Radius Operators) who specialize in complex airspace environments."we specialize in aerial photography, marketing videos, including indoor drone flythroughs aka indoor drone tours, and advanced data gathering, ensuring exceptional quality and precision. As a certified Part 107 licensed operator, we have earned statewide recognition, serviced cities in 8 different states across the country, and completed over 100 FAA-approved flights in restricted zones. Our commitment to excellence has us as a leading drone service provider in Maryland and Virginia.

Our Story: From a $50 Toy to D.R.O.

The foundation of Drone by Dro LLC wasn't a business plan—it was an impulse. My interest in aerial technology began in 2017 with the purchase of a simple $50 toy drone. This small investment ignited a daily passion, quickly pairing my existing interest in videography with the stunning perspective only a drone can capture. Flying became my way to actively explore the DMV outdoors while sharpening my skills behind the lens. The pivotal moment arrived during the pandemic: laid off from work, I took a leap of faith, leaving college to pursue this vision full-time. Using my final unemployment savings as starting capital, I invested everything I had into launching a certified drone service company in late 2020. I leveraged my eight years of customer service experience, coupled with video production and brand management skills, to finally monetize the content I loved creating.

We are incredibly proud of the growth we’ve achieved since those early days. What began as a one-person mission quickly evolved into a team of certified D.R.O. (Dynamic Radius Operators). Our dedication to quality and professional execution has allowed us to not only provide job opportunities but also to collaborate with some of the biggest companies in the world. From complex airspace waivers in the D.C. FRZ to cinematic footage across the DMV, Drone by Dro LLC is committed to pushing the boundaries of the aerial imaging industry and delivering exceptional results for every client.

I had the pleasure to work with the Drone by Dro team to record several drone videos of a campus environment located within the Washington, D.C. FRZ. Pedro was able to successfully work with the TSA to obtain a waiver to fly within restricted air space and also coordinated his team to record video within the direct flight path used by emergency helicopter services.

Despite all of these restrictions Drone by Dro produced professional, high-quality video and still images of our campus. After two shoots Pedro provided premiere customer service in selecting and editing images and also produced a marketing video from the drone footage.
